THE ADVANTAGE OF

two important considerations are: Recovery of incorrectly positioned pieces which have been fed into the heating zone and cleaning of the Teflon belts.
Both factors are well taken care of in the design of the VARIOFIX because the heating zone can be opened pneumatically. This enables the operator to realign pieces which have been incorrectly positioned and so eliminate scorching and production loss. Belts can be easily cleaned as this takes place at the heating zone whilst the deposits on the belt are still soft and easily removable.
Furthermore this open construction allows the changing of belts to be carried out easily. The belts have a long life duration on the VARIOFIX because the solid state belt control equipment ensures that the belt seam is tension-free.

VARIO-DISTANCE-SYSTEM

Obviously, the pressure to which the cloth fabric is subjected during the fusing process has an important influence on the end results.
Some fabrics require high pressure to achieve the right bond strength, whilst others will not stand up to right pressures. Vaporetta-VARIOFIX fusing presses now incorporate the latest
VARIO-DISTANCE-SYSTEM which, as the name implies, offers a choice of pressures from maximum, down to no contact at all. The feature is fully adjustable to cater for all fabric types, giving optimum results - high bond strength at lowest possible temperatures and without any cloth distortion. Even problem fabrics can be fused without difficulty.

LOADING BELTS

Loading belts are a great help with flimsy fabrics. They are installed instead of the loading table. The fabric and interlining are placed on the motionless loading belt and is started by a foot operated switch. Then it feeds the loaded fabric together with the interlining into the main belt.

Depending on the fixing width of the machine one or more loading belts are possible enabling all operators to work in their own speed.

OPEN MACHINE DESIGN

Another advantage of the VARIOFIX is that the machine is open also to the front, which means that no difficulty is encountered in dealing with pieces that are larger than the fusing width. This feature is particularly useful in the case of selective fusing, for example when a small piece requires fusing on to a larger area, the whole width of cloth is not then unnecessarily subjected to heat.

For larger pieces, VARIOFIX is available in a special version. The lower belt is larger than the heating zone and this feature ensures that the whole piece is carried freely through the machine without any hold-up.
